Attendance
Attendance Management Plan and Procedures
Attending school regularly is essential for the success of our tamariki. Social development is fostered at school, building strong foundations for wellbeing. Academic success also provides students with opportunities as they develop into young people. Pasadena Intermediate is working towards the government target of 80% of the children being at school 90% of the time. For each student, this is less than 1 day off per fortnight.
At Pasadena our philosophy is grounded in the relationship the school has with the child and their whānau. We strive to understand what is leading to absences from school, seeking out the most effective approach to be used to encourage higher attendance and engagement. We work together alongside our families to support our tamariki to be at school, actively engaged and realising their potential.
