Parent Donation

Pasadena is a high achieving, high decile school state-funded school. Unfortunately, the funding we receive from the government fails to provide the type of education and staffing ratios we offer. Each year the Board of Trustees requests an annual donation which is a key component of our budget. The budget component allows us to provide:

  • Additional Specialist Staff
  • Smaller class sizes
  • Further Learning Centre staff and extension activities
  • Purchasing of ICT Equipment

These costs cannot be met by government funding and we appreciate your contribution in this area. You are able to claim from the IRD your Donation contribution.

Programme Activities

Each year we plan a number of visits, activities, additional learning programmes or guest speakers to supplement our learning programmes. Often there is a cost associated with these.

The activities include: The Life Education Trust Van, Guest speakers, Health Courses and entry fees to local resources e.g. the Zoo. These are a voluntary contribution to the total costs.

Take Home Materials

Students make products in our Specialists programmes which they may take home at the end of the term or year. This fee covers the supply of materials in Technology, Foods and Arts.

WRITER’S TOOLBOX

Writer’s toolbox is a programme that focuses on explicit teaching of specific writing skills from Year 1-12. It teaches students how to write – using a proven approach of sentence styles, paragraph models, and writing rules. The programme includes an online tool that is designed to fully support the teaching of writing, creates independent learners and gives timely feedback and feedforward.

Payment Options (Spread Over 2025)

  • Use Hero our Financial Service Provider (see Finance tab on website)
  • $125.00 per term
  • $50.00 per month (10 Months in term time)
  • $12.50 per week (40 weeks in term time)
