This will be my 3rd year of teaching at Pasadena Intermediate School and it has been fantastic to see the growth and progress of the school within that time. I live locally in Point Chevalier and my own son is currently a year 8 student, with my daughter coming along next year. I’m married to Astrud and we moved to New Zealand from London 10 years ago.

My personal goal for my classroom is to challenge students and watch them grow to their full potential. I want to take students at different levels and see them develop together for the betterment of each individual. Therefore, group work is the key to having a successful class and is something I value. The impact of group work, when students help fellow students, changes each person and transforms the atmosphere of the class as a whole. I want to teach students in a way that gives them room to grow and expand on their own. I will do this by looking at the students’ needs and prepare lessons accordingly. I’m excited about what is happening here at Pasadena and looking forward to the year ahead.
