Kia ora, my name is Christine Abercrombie, and I am the Assistant Principal and one of the Strategic Leaders at Pasadena. I am also the classroom teacher of Room 12. I have 13 years of teaching experience, teaching students across a range of age groups. However, I especially enjoy working with intermediate students as they become more independent- learning, growing and developing academically, socially, and culturally.
This year will present new experiences, challenges, fun, and multiple opportunities for students to participate in various activities. Nurturing the students throughout their two years at Pasadena and watching them encounter many successes, is what makes coming to work each day so rewarding. I have completed my postgraduate diploma in Advanced Teaching, Learning and Motivation (focusing on Mathematics) and have trained as a Reading Recovery teacher. I look forward to meeting many of the students and their families over the coming weeks and am excited about the year ahead.
